Use of IP Address

 You browser does not have to visit domain name servers first. DNS are usually called Domain Name System, which consists of many domain name servers. The local domain name server has to request a superior domain name server, if it does not have the information of the Website. If the superior one does not have the information either, then it will request the top server. It is a long and terrible period. 

  Many people do not know the use of IP address. On the Intranet, through a IP address, your computer can connect each other. Each employees can share files and chat with each other without using the Intranet server. Definitely, to achieve this function, the Intranet configuration has to be configured correctly. Besides, each employee has to create a shared folder on their computers. 

  In your bookmark of your browser, you can use IP address directly. The speed will be much faster than Web address. You can directly edit the bookmark of your browsers.  Next time, your browser does not have to visit domain name server first. It knows the IP address and visit Websites directly. Definitely, this method does not suitable for IP shared Websites.

  Vitally, you do not have to worry about phishing Websites. You can directly ask your bank to tell you the IP address of its Website. Then, you can directly type the IP address in the address bar of your browser. Alternatively, you can directly bookmark the IP address. 

  Most Websites will not changes the IP addresses frequently. Proxy server and browsers can also cache IP addresses. If a Website frequently change its IP address, the domain name servers may return the old IP to proxy server or browser. Alternatively, they cannot open it.

  As an enterprise or individual, you may have a commercial or personal Website.   Note: These professional Websites just show the localities of Web servers. Unlike telephones, most companies do not put the Web servers in their offices, because of bandwidth cost and maintenance. They just choose Internet service providers and put their Websites inside. You should not mistake it. It cannot show the localities of companies.
