Cookie is not biscuit. In fact, it is a credit card. Usually, a Website has to serve hundreds of browsers at the same time. It is impossible for the Website to recognize and remember all the browsers, which look the same. Therefore, a Website pastes a cookie to the buttocks of your browser. Each cookie has a unique card number. Then, this Website can remember your browser. The problem is that different Websites can only recognize their own cards. It means that different Websites send their own cookies to your browser severally. Then, the buttocks of your browser will be full of cards. Usually, you can only see the face of your browser, not its buttocks. This is the reason you cannot see the cookies. The purpose of cookies can be reasonable. They can record the action of browsers. Then, the statistical Websites will calculate the data and then sell the statistics to stupid enterprises. Some enterprises get addicted to statistics. They do not listen to their customers directly. In fact, it cannot enhance the security at all. Hackers can get your cookie faster than your browser. Hackers can still see the contents inside the cookie even your browser reject cookies. You just get annoyance. Many Websites cannot be signed in once your browser rejects cookies. The correct way is to visit less terrible Websites. Usually, terrible Websites have many Google AdSenses. In addition, you should delete the cookie after leaving the Website or offline. IE 8: [Tools]--[Internet Options], in [Privacy] tab, choose “Medium High” for Internet zone. Opera: [Tools]--[Preferences], in [Advanced] tab and [Cookies] option, Check “Delete new cookies when exiting Opera”. Firefox: [Tools]--[Option], in [Privacy] tab: Keep until “I close Firefox”. These machines do not give you more money even you have a pretty face. Usually, you will see buttons of “log in” and “Sign in”. Many people do not quite clear the difference. In fact, they finish the same function of finding your user name and then checking your password. Only the words on buttons are different. In people’s minds, Sign looks more secure than log. As a result, banks always use “Sign In” buttons. Similarly, banks and stock markets always use percentage to decimal point. 5% looks much larger than 0.05. Again, real estate developers, which are banks’ partners, prefer home to house. Search engines and other Websites prefer sponsor to advertiser, although they are just the same. You cannot judge the security through the word of button. To pretend secure Websites, they also use “Sign In” buttons. You should not be ridiculed by words.
