  Cookie is not biscuit. In fact, it is a credit card. Usually, a Website has to serve hundreds of browsers at the same time. It is impossible for the Website to recognize and remember all the browsers, which look the same. Therefore, a Website pastes a cookie to the buttocks of your browser. Each cookie has a unique card number. Then, this Website can remember your browser. The problem is that different Websites can only recognize their own cards. It means that different Websites send their own cookies to your browser severally. Then, the buttocks of your browser will be full of cards. Usually, you can only see the face of your browser, not its buttocks. This is the reason you cannot see the cookies.

  The purpose of cookies can be reasonable. They can record the action of browsers. Then, the statistical Websites will calculate the data and then sell the statistics to stupid enterprises. Some enterprises get addicted to statistics. They do not listen to their customers directly. Reversely, they spend much money buying these statistics. Mostly, they are inexact. For example, many Internet users may mistake the title of an article and then click it. Sometimes, they just are curious and then click some colorful images and advertisements. Sure, cookies will stupidly record these actions. It cannot reveal want people really want. Many stupid enterprises assume that they are correct enough. The statistical Websites just have to Xerox the statistics and then sell to enterprises at very high prices. Finally, these stupid enterprises use these inaccurate statistics to judge the market and modify their products and services. It is a good way for statistical Websites to make money.
  
  A Website will paste a cookie to your browser. Then, your browser will attach the cookie to the request. After seeing your cookie, the Website will send a specified Web page, which contains your information, to you. Alternatively, it adds your user name in Web pages.

  Some terrible Websites directly write down your user name and password in the cookie. As a result, some Internet users set the browser to reject all cookies. You just get annoyance. Many Websites cannot be signed in once your browser rejects cookies. The correct way is to visit less terrible Websites. Usually, terrible Websites have many Google AdSenses.

You should click “Sign Out” button to sign out. This button will sent back an order to expire the cookie. Now, you can understand that it the “Sign Out” button is not useless. CE recommends you go back and click the “Sign Out” button if the Website is important to you and you directly close the Web page. Definitely, you just need to do it for important Websites, not all the Websites. These Websites are important to you if your have money inside. Otherwise, they are unimportant.
